Paul Nesheim has been a music educator, choral conductor, and worship leader for over 40 years. He has taught on the music faculties at Minnesota State University, Moorhead; Concordia College in Moorhead; Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin; Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD; and most recently at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD, where he was the conductor of the Augustana Choir. During his time at Augustana, Nesheim also served as director of choral activities and artistic director of Augustana Christmas Vespers. Dr. Nesheim holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in conducting from the University of Arizona, a Master of Music degree in choral music from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in music education from St. Olaf College. He is a past president of the South Dakota chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and a former Repertoire and Standards chair for Youth and Student Activities for ACDA’s North Central Division. He is a published composer and the author of Building Beautiful Voices, a book of vocalization methods and materials published by the Roger Dean Publishing Company.
